Most folks are aware of the talent coming out of Lake Oswego in the coming seasons. The Lakers and crosstown rival Lakeridge feature some of the states best for the 2019 & 2020 classes.
Leading the group out of LO is top Oregon 2019 LB Chris Todd (6-2 215). His combination of size and speed put him an elite category, ranking as an unquestioned D1 kid.
Todd accounted for 48 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 1 INT as a Sophomore. He has recently visited Oregon St and Washington, with a trip to UCLA planned for this past weekend. Expect Chris to be in the mix for TRL Defensive Player of the Year honors this season.
Lake O is a top 5 (6A) program in 2017, if the young guys play up to their potential. Todd is the brother of former 6-8 LO standout WR Drew Todd, who is currently playing hoops at Chapman University in California.
His raw football ability is very apparent. That said as he holds a 3.6 GPA, while taking two AP classes, and recently winning the MAC student- athlete scholarship award. He also finished in the top 10% nationally on the PSAT.
Chris will get an opportunity to showcase his skills at the June 2nd Northwest Best Collegiate Showcase in Portland, featuring a majority of the Pac 12 and a host of mid major D1’s. He is in a unique position as there are only a handful of 2019 early offer type kids, with 6-5 WR/TE Patrick Herbert of Sheldon being the first to land a scholarship offer from Oregon.
Stay tuned for updates on Todd as he could be the top LB in the Pacific Northwest for his class.
